    The question when reading through the book of Revelation is not what happened next, but what did John see next. I want you to see that this book is not so much an end-time manual as it is a discipleship manual. How can we hold on to Christ and persevere in our faith no matter what kind of difficulties or hard times we go through?
    We come to a passage that is the center of the book in a number of ways.  The middle of the book in length but also the center theologically. What John sees in Revelation 12 is a vision that explains why there is so much evil and opposition in a world created by a good and holy God. What John sees here began to happen on Christmas Eve. Revelation 12 is a Christmas text. It is a vision of the impact in the spiritual realm of the birth, death and ascension of Jesus Christ.
   We need Revelation 12 to remind us that when we come to Christ, that doesn’t mean all our troubles are over, it instead might mean the beginning of intense spiritual warfare. This chapter is preparing us for conflict. How does it do that? Let’s read the passage and see together!

Comment pouvons-nous rester accroché à Christ et persévérer dans notre foi malgré les difficultés que nous traversons ?
    Nous arrivons à un passage central de ce livre pour de nombreuses raisons. Son milieu dans la durée mais surtout son centre théologique. Ce que Jean voit dans Apocalypse 12 est une vision de pourquoi il y a tant de mal et d’opposition dans un monde créé par un Dieu bon et saint. Ce que Jean voit ici a débuté le soir de Noël. Apocalypse 12 est un texte de Noël. Il s’agit d’une vision de l’impact de la naissance, la mort et la résurrection de Jésus Christ ont eu sur le royaume spirituel.
   Nous avons besoin d’Apocalypse 12 pour nous rappeler que lorsque nous sommes venus à Christ, cela ne signifiait pas la fin de nos soucis, mais le commencement d’un conflit spirituel intense. Ce chapitre nous prépare pour ce conflit. Comment? Voyons cela ensemble!
