We are all mostly aware of the story of Moses and the leadership of his people for 40 years in the desert. What makes him such a compelling figure is that he was, by his own admission, not worthy to carry out God’s work. He was inarticulate, struggled with his identity having been brought up by the Egyptians, and had many character flaws.
He was no super-hero, just an imperfect human who went from riches to rags and was forgotten about, written off almost. Yet God called on him and redeemed him when he least expected.
What Moses learned as a shepherd in the previous 40 years prepared him in all the ways needed to lead a nation.
