A Song for the fragile – Psalm 103

psalmsLast week we looked back at a song for the angry and saw that anger is a secondary emotion. We need to trace our anger back to see what is threatened.

This week we want to look at a song for the fragile.  David writes this song out of his experience of his own fragility and weakness. He speaks of this loving father and how it enables him to overcome. Hugely important to us, because it is our condition. We are fragile. It is the condition of our world, of those who are around us, those who might potentially look to us for a way to find faith and hope in this world.

Sometimes even these Psalms can add to our fragility if we read them as conditions for God’s love so we need to learn to read them in light of the cross of Jesus Christ.  Let’s look at Psalm 103 together.
