Next Sunday at Trinity:
We are continuing our series today called “Life in the Spirit†and we come to a rather difficult passage. In fact this saying of Jesus has haunted many people who are wondering if they can ever be forgiven or if perhaps they have committed the unpardonable sin.
The text of Matthew 12 raises some difficult questions. Is there an unpardonable sin? Jesus seems to say that there is. What is it and how can we know if we have crossed that line into an unforgiveable sin.
We are going to try to get at the truth of this passage by looking at three separate aspects of this idea; the problem of forgiveness, the power of repentance and finally the potential danger of our goodness. We want to focus on the context but especially try to understand what Jesus meant when he said, “Anyone who speaks a word against the son of man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.â€
How can we understand this word of Jesus?

Nous continuons notre série « La vie dans l’Esprit » et nous arrivons à un passage difficile. En effet cette parole de Jésus a hanté de nombreuses personnes qui se demandent s’ils pourront un jour être pardonnés ou s’ils ont commis un péché impardonnable.
Mathieu 12 soulève plusieurs questions difficiles. Y-a t-il un péché impardonnable ? Jésus semble dire que oui. Quel est-il et comment savoir si nous avons déjà franchi la ligne vers ce péché impardonnable ?
Nous allons tenter d’accéder à la vérité de ce passage en étudiant 3 aspects distincts de cette idée: Les problèmes du pardon, de la repentance et du danger potentiel menaçant notre bonté. Nous voulons nous concentrer sur le contexte pour bien comprendre le propos de Jésus lorsqu’il dit: « Si quelqu’un s’oppose au Fils de l’homme, il lui sera pardonné ; mais si quelqu’un s’oppose au Saint-Esprit, il ne recevra pas le pardon, ni dans la vie présente ni dans le monde à venir. »
