Hope International
Trinity—originally called Hope International Church—is planted by two C&MA missionaries named Henry Paasonen and Jim Ritchey. The church meets in a hotel conference room in La Défense.

Trinity—originally called Hope International Church—is planted by two C&MA missionaries named Henry Paasonen and Jim Ritchey. The church meets in a hotel conference room in La Défense.
Pastor Miller becomes the full-time pastor with a congregation of 35 people. The congregation almost doubles every 2 years, reaching 127 by 2000.
Fred Henry assume pastoral leadership.
The church holds its first General Assembly (GA) with 49 members joining.
Members unanimously vote to change the name to Trinity International Church because of a cult (sect) in Paris also using the name Hope International. Soon after, Trinity moves from La Défense to the heart of Paris with a congregation of 150 people.
Efforts are made to purchase a building for the church but it proves to be too expensive. With the money that is raised, it is decided to buy a building in the heart of the city to use as a ministry outreach centre. After much prayer and searching, the Lord leads Trinity in 2004 to buy an old jazz club in Châtelet which we now call Genesis.
Fred & Carrol Henry depart. Over a handful of years to follow, several people serve diligently: the Vickers family, Shelley Ryan, Ron and Lorelei Friesen, and David and Margot Kennedy.
Trinity is blessed by the arrival of Al and Carol Clason in 2009. They faithfully serve until June 2018, as do a long list of interims and faithful servants who have sacrificed greatly over the years to serve God’s church here in Paris.
Trinity Church becomes a fully local church, being affiliated to AECMF only and not dependent on the CMA USA missions.
Trinity Church becomes elder-led.
After the departure of some of its elders, Trinity Church formed a preaching/teaching team of four students in theology to lead people through the expository preaching of his Word.
